Results of the Hamilton County Board of Election Meeting

There were about 100 people at the Hamilton County Board of Election Meeting on the matter of who won the Juvenile Judge election last November. The candidates are  Rep. John Williams, is a Caucasian male & Dem. Tracy Hunter, is an African American woman.

Chairman Alex Triantifilou stated that the Board had just received a new directive from the district federal court that was opposite of the directive that they had receive from the Ohio State Supreme Court. The members went into executive session to discuss the matter.

When they returned they said they decided to take these directives to the County Prosecutor and have them advise the Board which Court directive they would have to follow.  Of the four members of the Board, 3 are attornies and they did not want to be in contempt of a court order.  They will ask the Prosecutor for an answer by 10:00 am on Friday 1-14-2011 on which directive to follow.  The Republican & Democrat board members were in agreement.  The decision that will be made, will have a major impact on how & which provisional votes are counted.

The meeting is open to the public.
